Today, I will be reviewing the "Primed and Poreless" Pure Primer from Too Faced Cosmetics..........

I have been trying out different types of primers to see what helps with my oily, acne prone skin, so while I was shopping at Ulta, I decided to give this a try:

This primer is part of Too Faced Primed & Poreless line which includes the regular version of this primer, priming powder, pressed powder, bronzer, and etc.  This version is different from the regular Primed and Poreless primer due to the fact that this is made for sensitive skin and it's oil free.  The primer comes in a 1 oz tube:

From the Too Faced Website:

"One use of our complexion-perfecting primer and your skin will glow with red-carpet radiance. This 100% oil-free version of our best-selling Primed & Poreless formula minimizes pores and sweeps away imperfections. Wear it alone for an instant skin refresh, or as a sheer base that locks in foundations, powders and bronzers."

-Erase Pores & Imperfections: Virtually erases pores, softens lines and perfects your complexion leaving skin ready for bronzer, powder, makeup or nothing at all.
-Customized Formula: More To Love:
-100% oil-free formula
-Virtually erases pores and imperfections
-Regulates surplus oil production on the skin’s surface, minimizing shine and improving skin’s overall texture
-Soothes & brightens inflamed skin while reducing future pigmentation concerns

INGREDIENTS:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethiconol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crossploymer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Mica, Phenoxyethanol, Silica, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Cyclodextrin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Retinol, Diacetyl Boldine, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi Leaf Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Polysorbate 80, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Hedra Helix (Ivy) Extract, BHT, Cycloheptasiloxane, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Bioflavonoids, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Allantoin, Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Chromium Oxide Greens (CI 77288), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

When I used this primer, the first thing that I noticed was that this was a silicone based primer......which was a creamy texture and easy to apply:

Once I applied the primer, I automatically noticed that my pores where smaller and my face was smooth.  I really didn't see how this product would help with any imperfections (which mine still showed) if I was to use this alone on a bare face (without makeup) but this was great for me to use this under my foundation.  This primer is also lightweight To test it out, I applied this primer with the Maybelline "Better Skin" foundation in Warm Honey with a little of the Maybelline Pure BB Cream in Dark:

The foundation went on so smoothly and my face was semi-matte after the foundation was settled in.  I set the foundation with the Maybelline Matte and Poreless powder and use the NYX Matte Finish setting spray:

At the end of the day, I was back shiny but not greasy (which is a plus in my book).  I did have to blot a couple of times throughout the day and I will say that my makeup kind of faded by the end of the night.  I'm will say that I didn't have any type of breakouts or irritations from using this product.

So to wrap this up, I do love the way this primer applies to my skin so smoothly, made my pores smaller, and made my foundation look flawless when I first applied it.  I also like the way that it controls my oil (but nothing compares to my Becca primer) which prevented my face from looking greasy.  The last thing that I liked is that I could wear this primer without any makeup just to control my oily skin.  What I didn't like was the fact that it didn't make my makeup last all day (my foundation look faded) and for the price that I paid for this, I expected this to be better in terms of what it claims (erases imperfections and etc).

I will say that I would recommend this primer for anyone that is looking for a primer for their oily skin (but for the price, I would just add a little more money and get the Becca primer) or anyone that is looking for a primer that help minimize pores.  If you are looking for a primer to help your makeup last all day, I would not recommend this primer.

I purchased this primer in the Ulta store for $30.00 but you can also purchase this primer at Ulta and on the Too Faced website.
