Today I decided to switch it up a little and discuss a natural hairstyle that I do with my oldest daughter……….finger coils...........

For this style, I used Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls as the gel for a soft and flexible hold for her coils.

I began on freshly washed and conditioned hair and applied the …….as her leave in conditioner and ……oil to seal in the moisture.  I then sectioned her hair into 4 sections (2 at the top and 2 at the bottom) and detangled her hair.  After I detangled the section, I grabbed a small piece of her hair and began to twirl it around my finger until it formed into a coil (started twirling from the root of her hair and worked my way down to the tip).  I repeated this step all over her head until I was done which took me about an hour to complete.  I let her hair air dry but you can definitely use a blow dryer or a seated dryer to cut the drying process.

At night, I would have her sleep in a satin bonnet to protect her coils.  She was able to wear her finger coils her a couple of days and after that, I did a coil out so she could rock her curls for a few more days.

As for the Miss Jessie’s product, this was perfect for her hair type and didn’t leave her hair hard but still had a hold.  It didn’t leave any flakes or residue and the gel wasn’t hard to smooth in her hair.  I also tried this on her hair as a wash n’ go and was very pleased with the results.

Overall, I love this product for my daughter and would recommend this to anyone with curly hair:

I purchased the Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls at Target (in store) for $14.00 and can be purchased at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Sally Beauty Supply and many local beauty supply stores.

    1. You should give it a go.....I really loved it for her hair but I haven't tried it on myself yet. I want to use it for a twist out to see if it works on my hair texture.
