Grocery Haul: June 2016

6/08/2016

I wanted to discuss a few things that I picked up this month that I am trying for the first time or just some food that I want to highlight during this haul.  I didn't show everything that I purchased or the usual suspects (meat, milk, fruit, vegetables, and etc.) but I may show more of these in future grocery haul post..........

First, let me talk about some sweetness goodness that I picked.......Ice Cream:

I got the Arctic Zero Ice Cream in Cookie Shake and Cake Batter.  What I love about these is that I can eat a whole pint of ice cream for 150 calories and it has a good amount of protein and fiber.  The second ice cream I picked up was the Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars in Cookies n' Cream.  Each bar is only 100 calories and it came in my favorite ice cream flavor.

The next thing that I picked up was some quick dinners that I can make on those days that I am lazy, don't want to cook dinner, and it's fast.  I got the 2 of the Amy's Bowls in 3 Cheese & Kale Bake and Tortilla Casserole & Black Bean.  I also picked up the Amy's Enchilada Verde in Spinach & Cheese.  Finally, I picked up the Michael Angelo's Eggplant Parmesan (which I had before and it's very good).

I didn't take a picture of all the veggies and fruits I bought but I did want to talk about some canned vegetables I got.  It's from Margaret Holmes and I got 2 of the Seasoned Cabbage, Buttered Corn, and Seasoned Pepper n' Peas.  I have had all of these before and I can report that these are pretty good and very well seasoned.

I became interested in the Yogi Green Tea Kombucha from watching Jenell B. Stewart "What I Eat In A Day" series.  So when I saw this in the store, I had to pick it up and try it see all the health benefits it can help me with.  For another tasty snack (Can you tell that I have a sweet tooth??? LOL), I picked up the Nature Valley Crunchy Oats n' Honey.  I also wanted the Peanut Butter version, but they were sold out :(

I love waffles and pancakes for breakfast.....like a lot....and to keep it semi-healthy, I picked up the Eggo Whole Grain Waffles.  It has a nice amount of fiber and fewer calories than the regular Eggo Waffles.

Lastly, I picked up the Ruffles Reduced Fat Chips:

This was a "just because" and maybe I can say because me and my family loves chips, LOL..........

  1. Great Grocery Haul! I've tried Arctic Zero before and Cookie Dough & Butter Pecan was my favorite. Some of their flavors can be hit or miss, but those two were my favorites. I love pancake & waffles also. Getting the wheat is much better for you than the regular version. Good for you. I've been eating lots of salads (chicken caesar, chef, shrimp salads). Also omeletes! I like veggie ones with mushrooms, green peppers & onions. Love fish & baked chicken.
