My Very Late Spring and Summer Beauty Haul

8/04/2016

I realized that I haven't shared a beauty haul on this blog for a while so I wanted to show you what I have been picking up these past couple of months..........

First....let's talk about Lip products:

I picked two of the Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in "Maneater" and "Kween" and I got two of the NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick from Ulta in "Ruffle Trim" and "Exotic".  I have been enjoying all 4 of them and they are not too drying on my lips.  I plan to pick up more from both collections.

Next, let me show you the face products:

I picked up another NYX product from Ulta which was the Ombre Blush in OB02, "Strictly Chic".  It's a nice peachy orange blush that goes on very smoothy (not chalky) and pigmented.  The next product I picked up was the Black Radiance True Complexion Shine Control Primer from Walmart.  I wanted to pick up an inexpensive matte primer (this was only $4.99) that I could use everyday and this was a great buy.  It really does help control oil and let me repeat, this is a affordable primer.  I also got some more L.A. Girl Pro Concealer in the "Orange Corrector" shade to help with my dark spots on my face.  I picked this up at my local beauty supply store.

Now the next two products I have been wanting to try for a long time but could never find them at my local stores (Target and Ulta).  One day while shopping at Ross, I ran across the Shea Moisture Wet/Dry Powder in the shade "Yuma Pecan" and the Illuminating Powder in the shade "Boracay Hibiscus".  This was a major deal because I was able to purchase both powders together for $4.99 and I actually found some of their products in store.  The Wet/Dry Powder is a perfect match for my skin tone and I use this as a setting powder.  The Illuminating Powder creates a soft and natural highlight that I can you for a everyday look:

(From L to R: NYX Blush, Shea Moisture Wet/Dry Powder, and Shea Moisture Illuminating Powder)
Next, I picked up the Gwen Stefani Blush Palette and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in "That Glow":

I picked up both of these palettes from Ulta.com.  I picked up the Gwen Stefani Palette when Ulta had them on sale.....I believed I only paid $23.99 or $25.00, and I got the Glow Kit for $40.00.  The blush palette is okay (I glad I didn't pay full price for it) because the blush and highlight shades work for me but the contour shades was a major fail for me.  I absolutely love the glow kit because of creates a lovely highlight for my skin tone:

And the last thing that I purchased for my face was the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette and the ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil in the shade "Deep Brown":

I purchase the Sweet Peach Palette from Ulta (I lucked out and found one in store) for $49.00.  The shades are very creamy and I do think that this is the perfect palette for summer.  The ELF brow pencil was also a great buy because for only $2.00 (I got this pencil at Walmart) it creates a natural brow color and it stays on all day (this is a must buy):

So the last product was actually sent for me to review (which is coming up in a future blogpost) for some brushes from a company call DUcare:

I was sent the D Series 601 "6 Piece Portable Makeup Brush Set".  It comes in a beautiful brush holder which has two face brushes, three eyeshadow brushes, and one lip brush.  I will have a full review on these brushes once I use them (just had Lasik done so it maybe a week or two before I use them) but if you are interested in purchasing them, please click on this link: http://amzn.to/2a0CJrB
