Hey, y'all (with my country accent, LOL),

First, I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit my blog.  I'm "E"  and I created this blog to document my weight loss/fitness journey and to talk about my obsession with all types of Makeup and Beauty products.  I am a wife to a wonderful and amazing husband and I have two beautiful young daughters.

To give a little background on my fitness journey, I was skinny as a kid and remained that way during my high school years (but hey, with my young and fast metabolism and playing sports, it was easy for me to eat what I wanted and burn it off just as fast).

As soon as I began college, that's when I slowly started to gain weight (yay to the freshman 15 lbs) and before you know it, I was almost 200 lbs by the time my first daughter was born (From college (2001) to the birth of my first daughter (2010), I went from 130 lbs to 192 lbs).  About a year after my daughter was born, I decided to get back in shape with restricting my calories and exercising almost every day.  I was able to get down to 135 lbs but that was a struggle to keep up with that.  I eventually stopped the restricting my calories (at the time, I was only eating about 1300 to 1500 calories a day) and reduced my workouts from 6 days a week to about 3-4 days a week.  I ended up gaining back some weight and would try to stay within the 150 to 170 lbs mark.  This was when I was the happiest and the most comfortable with my weight.

In the beginning of 2015, I was blessed to give birth to my second daughter back and with me doing breastfeeding, I was able to get back to 175 lbs.  So....if you are still reading this, you might be wondering what happened?????  Well back in May, I stopped breastfeeding, ate whatever I wanted (which was a lot of fast food) and wasn't exercising......which led me gaining weight and getting back up to 187 lbs by the beginning of June.

So I decided that I was going to work hard again because I did it before so let to do it again.  But this time around, I will be watching what I eat but no crazy calorie restriction like before and my plan is to try to workout at least 3 to 4 times a week for at least 20 minutes.  Hopefully, you would like to take this journey with me. :)

For the most part on the Fitness and Lipstick Blog, I will discuss different reviews on Makeup and Beauty products, my natural hair journey, food and recipes, products and updates on my fitness, and any other stuff in between.........and did I mention FOOD........
