The Camille Rose Naturals Twisting Butter is a product that I wanted to try for a while due to all the positive feedback from people using this for their twist and twist outs.  I finally picked it up one day while browsing the natural hair section at Target because I couldn’t resist it anymore..........

The product comes in an 8 oz container (240 ml) and cost $16.99 at Target stores.

According to Camille Rose Naturals:

“Almond Jai Twisting Butter is a must have butter that will leave our twist soft, strengthened, enlongated, and holds your style.  Achieve the ultimate soft fully twist out with a combination of almond milk, almond oil, jojoba, hemp and a drizzle of honey.”

Deionized water, behentrimonium methosulfate (BTMS)cetearyl alcohol, prunus dulcis(almond milk), prunusdulcis (almond)oil, cucurbita pepo(pumpkin)seed oil, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, simmondsia chinensis(jojoba) seed oil, oryza sativa (rice)bran oil, macadamia ternifolia (macadamia nut)seed oil, olea europaea (olive)fruit oil, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, ulmus fulva bark extract (slippery elm), ricinus communis(castor)seed oil, aloe barbadensis(aloe)leaf juice< honey, camellia sinensis(green tea)leaf extract, phenoxyethanol/caprylyl glycol(optiphen). sorbic acid, scent and LOVE!

I used this product as a styler on freshly washed and conditioned hair (and still wet).  When I first opened this product, the first thing I noticed was the smell.  It smells so yummy and very sweet, it’s almost has a cake batter smell to it.  The twisting butter is pretty creamy and thick but was easy to apply to my hair.  I was able to smooth it throughout my section of hair (and able to comb through my hair with this product) before I began to twist my hair.  A little goes a long way, so I would recommend using a small amount for each twist.   I let my hair air dry overnight and unravel my twist in the morning:

I loved the results!!!!  My hair was very soft and moisturized but also had great hold and great hair definition.  My hair was not fuzzy and the product didn’t leave any residue or flakes.  To preserve my style, I pulled my hair up into a pineapple at night and cover it with a silk scarf.  In the morning, I just take my hair down from the pineapple, shake my hair, and just use my fingers to shape my hair.  I was able to wear my twist out for a full week (which, in Texas, included many climate changes from being warm, to cold, and also rainy) and could have wore it longer but ended up washing my hair:

For anyone that is looking for a product specifically for twist or twist outs, I would say that this is a holy grail product.  This butter was able to hold my twist out while keeping frizz to a minimal and also keep my hair moisturized.  So in other words……GO AND GET IT…..NOW!!!!!
