The Acne Diary Series: Morning Skincare Routine 2016

My facial skincare routine for my acne skin has changed up a bit since last year but I believe that the routine that I am doing this year has approved my skin drastically.  Today, I am going to discuss the products that I use for my morning routine..........

First, I have start using the Shea Moisture African Black Soap Body Wash with my Foreo Luna Mini dupe that I found at Ross (I can't remember the name of the dupe......Sorry :(  ):

In the beginning of last year, I was only using Coconut Oil to cleanse my face but after I kept having major breakouts towards the end of the year, I switch to this cleanser.  Even though this is a body wash, this has worked wonderful for my face and has helped my acne in many ways........also for a bonus's natural.  I use the Shea Moisture soap with silicone facial cleanser for a gentle wash.  I found the facial cleanser at Ross for a cheap price (I think I paid only $15) but I can't compare this cleanser to the Foreo Luna Mini cleanser since I never owned one.  I can say that I love using it and it makes my skin feels so smooth.

Next, I use two different toners for my face......I use the Shea Moisture African Problem Skin Toner and the Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Toner:

I use the Clean & Clear toner with a cotton pad to remove any soap or leftover dirt that was left on my skin after washing it.  I use the Shea Moisture toner as a facial spray after I use the Clean & Clear.  The Shea Moisture can be use as a toner on a cotton pad also but I prefer to use it as a facial spray because it really refreshes my skin after washing and it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry.

After toning, this is where I apply my acne medication and serum:

When my skin is dry from using the Shea Moisture toner, I will use a 10% Benzoyl Peroxide treatment Gel for my acne.  I follow that with my Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum to help with evening out my skintone and aging.  Then, I will use the Ambi Fade Cream for Oily Skin to help fade my dark spots.

Lastly, I use a moisturizer and a oil controlling primer:

For my moisturizer, I have been using The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30.  I love using this moisturizer because it's lightweight, has sunscreen, and the vitamin C helps with my dark spots.  The last part that I do is to add a oil control/shine control primer.  On days that I am not wearing makeup, I will use a cheaper primer like the Black Radiance True Complexion Shine Control Primer to help with my oily skin (I also use the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer for everyday use also).  On days I am wearing makeup, I usually reach for my Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector......because that's bae, LOL.

So that is everything that I have been using for my morning routine and I have to say that it's been working amazingly for my skin.  I will have my night routine coming up really soon so be on the look out :)

What are some products that you use for your morning routine?
